INTRODUCTION

Dear Customer,
For the last number of years we have been producing and distributing diagnostic, therapeutic and training materials for logopaedia (speech therapy), ergo therapy training or psychological training.
In the last few years, integration of hearing training and sound therapy used together with other therapy is gaining recognition. The scope of the problems that children with audio perception problems have has only become known within the last few years. We have been developing various therapeutic aids and devices so that these children can be helped in clinics as well as in their own homes. If you would like to know more about the theoretical background of this condition, please read our brochure, “Therapy Basis”, which we will be happy to send to you. If you prefer not to have to do a lot of reading, you are welcome to attend a seminar in Lörrach or other locations in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, You may also write and ask for seminar information - (content of seminars and locations and dates.)

hearing perception training means:

Successful integration by working at various levels simultaneously (nervous system, speech, mind, behaviour). Hearing affects speech. If listening habits present a blurred understanding, this cannot be translated into optimal understanding and speech - this is very strongly influenced by outside factors.
There are a growing number of children today who have a hard time concentrating, are easily distracted, and are not keen in hearing perception. This is where Phase A with frequency therapy (music) is helpful. Once the ability to concentrate as well as auditory attention has improved, we move on to Phase B (hearing training). In this phase children are challenged in hearing, speaking and reading.
Thanks to the technical possibilities of lateral and high frequency training they can become more aware of various aspects of perception and their speech is particular. Our HPT home is made for use at home and also for easy therapist use.

The basics are:

  1. Music (ordinary CD´s) playing on a Discman or CD-Player from Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach (instrumental, no piano, no trumpets, many violins) this has good emotional clearing effects by itself. 
  2. HPT achieves a) Hightone filtering and b) sound lateralization for the increase of neural activity in the brain (thalamus, limbic system, and more). I prefer this kind of training in compare to special CDs: No problem of the loss of quality by the digitalization (conversion to CD) and reconversion (play from CD to HP) of the filtered sound (limits of bandwitch for high tones). And second, you can have more individualization by using of ordinary (cheeper) CDs like described above. Third, you can make speech and reading training with the same unit (additional microphone). 
  3. hearing by headphone: direct sound to the ears, no room acustics will change the sound. The HP´s can be open for other room sound, so that you can speak with your child while it is hearing. 
  4. If also speech therapy is necessary: you can work with the additional microphone: The child will hear you speaking very clearly and hears its own speaking, which is very helpful for integrating new speech elements (consonants, vocals). 
  5. If reading training is necessary: you can work with text-CDs (speech from CD) and a book where the words are one to one to the reading! 4. and 5. is done after the 6. week of this training (first Musik, second speech). 
  6. Time effect: this training should be done over 12 weeks in follow. 2-3 times a day 10-30 Min. if 3a/b is done, one time a day instead of music or after music. 
  7. Individualization of training after the first 12 weeks. You make you own experience over the first 12 weeks: which time of days, which music CDs ... are the best for you child or what you child likes. 
  8. pedagogics: the relationship between child and mother (or father) can be harmonisized, if the adult does make the training together with the child.

For peoples with other experience: I think if you have good effects with AIT or Tomatis our HPT should also be helpful.

Use and Safety

Our products can be used in medical, teaching and cosmetic areas. For medical purposes, we have adopted the EU norm for medical appliances, in which area we are also certified. For medical purposes the products MPX 20 and MPO 20 ‘double insulation’ is available. With this, our products including all attachments meet the requirements of the EN 60601-1 norm.
